Weekend Beauty Hot! or Not…: Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Jennifer Hudson, and More!
It’s the top of the week yet again, Glams! Hope you all had fabulous weekends! Celebs were out doing fabulous things like promoting their new videos, new TV shows, and new hair. Let’s take a look at the hair and makeup, shall we?
Rihanna and Nicki Minaj were photographed on the set of their new joint video “Fly”. I am on definitely on board with Rihanna’s new longer red hair with deep burgundy low lights. Her makeup is also very much on point (that purple eyeshadow makes her eye really pop). HOT!
Nicki looks cute in her green glitter liner and Barbie pink lip (likely her infamous Pink Friday collaboration with MAC). While the lashes aren’t exactly the first thing an everyday girl like us would pick up, they work for the animated rapper. HOT!
Then a slew of celebs were out for the 2011 Winter TCA Tour to talk about their new TV shows (and networks).
Wendy Raquel Robinson just gets better with age. She was banging back in the 90s on “The Steve Harvey Show” and has such a gorgeous glow and hotness about her now.
Rapper Trina was looking gorgeous in this Twitpic snapped by her pal and fellow rapperLudacris. She was helping promote his new liquor line. Love the hair and makeup. HOT!
Business mogul Angela Simmons was also spotted in a Twitpic. One half of Pastry showed off her new blond ‘do. I think the blond suites her. I’d love to see how she wears it out with her outfits.
And finally Jennifer Hudson was seen out at the Gem Awards this weekend. The singer is literally glowing—like she has a GE building inside of her or something. Her makeup and hair are just gorgeous. Go ‘head Ms. Hudson.

Riri on the cover of GQ
The cover star of the January 2011 issue of British GQ, Rihanna is still thinking about her past relationship with Chris Brown. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:
“Sometimes when you’re on the inside of a relationship like that, you can’t see it clearly for what it is. I left – it was the best feeling. It was so freeing…I witnessed it happening to my mum and I said I would never let that happen to me – and then it was happening. Now, when I look back, it bugs me out that I couldn’t see it for what it was.”

Rihanna Joins Nicki Minaj on Stage for “Fly”, Plus Keyshia Cole, Drake, Kanye West & More
Last night, Rihanna joined Nicki Minaj on stage to perform “Fly” for the first time at Hot 97′s special Thanksgiving Concert. Rihanna, whose vocals were pretty much on point throughout the song, unexpectedly grabbed Nicki Minaj’s assets before leaving the stage.
Other surprises included Drake, who proclaimed his love for Nicki with an on stage kiss (“I muthaf*ckin love this girl”), Busta Rhymes (for Roman’s Revenge (remix)” Keyshia Cole (for “I Ain’t Thru”) and Kanye West who appeared during “Monster”. Fabolous opened the show and brought out the likes of Lloyd Banks and Juelz Santana.

Kanye West Interviews Rihanna For Interview Magazine
Rihanna continues her “fun” and “loud” theme of bright colors on the cover of the latest issue of Interview Magazine. Inside, she is interviewed by Kanye West, who grills her on everything from whether she would like to have kids soon to being a sex symbol to both men and women.
Kanye: How does it feel to know that you could have any man in the world. Or woman. How does it feel to know that you can turn straight women gay?Rihanna: Is that a real question?Kanye: Yeah.Rihanna: Well … Thank you. I don’t know how to feel about that. I guess that’s flattering.

Get the Look; Rihanna
Rihanna, wearing her newly red locks tucked under a black knit beanie, dared to wear the often-discouraged combination of black and blue. Looking at these photos, though, might make those naysayers change their minds!Ms. R combined a sequined Opening Ceremony skirt (note the see-thru silk!) with a slouchy black sweater, blue ankle boots, and a brown clutch. The top half of her look is very Bonnie, as in Bonnie and Clyde, and the bottom half is very festive — in a way, reminiscent of a holiday party. (Surely I can’t be the only one counting down the days until winter break!)
Rihanna also was wearing a thin word necklace with a not-so-polite message – while maybe you shouldn’t rock the same word necklace at your family’s Thanksgiving dinner, a simple silver necklace can nonetheless be a cute addition to any outfit.
Outfit Inspired by Rihanna
As Rihanna shows us, a knit beret adds a cool touch to an outfit with fancy elements – in this case – an insane blue sequin skirt! This Coast Lana skirt (on the left) is a bit of a splurge, but it is an extremely intricate piece and has incredible movement, which is rare in sequined pieces. If you’re looking for something less pricey, I’ve also included a Forever 21 sequined mini on the right side, which is an awesome and more affordable alternative, and even directly incorporates black into the look.On top, wear a slouchy black sweater, and rather than Rihanna’s less-than-nice message, spread some positivity with a “Love” word necklace! Blue ankle booties are not the easiest shoe to find, but these lace-up fold-over booties add a bit of a trendy edge to the look, and look much more expensive than they really are! A brown clutch finishes off the ensemble.

Rihanna's New Album LOUD in stores TODAY
The first track on Rihanna’s strobe-thumping new album “Loud” is called “S&M.” Decades after Madonna made a pop-chart fetish of leather, whips and ball gags, this isn’t especially salacious. But it’s quite a spit-take of a title from a pop singer whose last album, “Rated R,” was a harrowing travelogue through the bleak corners of domestic violence. “Loud” is a rave-ready follow-up to that seething, gothic revenge tale, both a considered mission to reclaim Rihanna’s optimism and a hasty move to put tabloid nastiness behind her and get back on the charts.
“Loud” is, at points, a powerful reminder of Rihanna’s skills before the 2009 Grammys incident changed how we read her songs. The minor-key moments are still her best: “Only Girl (In the World)” revives the chilly trance of “Disturbia” with a newly vigorous vocal performance. “I want to make you beg for it, then I’ll make you swallow your pride,” she sings, adding psychosexual venom to an otherwise orthodox dance floor plea. “What’s My Name” has a disarming double-entendre chorus — a line like “Hey boy, I really want to see if you can go downtown with a girl like me” has come-hither undertones, but you can also imagine Rihanna wanting something as exotic as dinner and a movie out on the arm of a good guy. “Man Down” reasserts her Caribbean lilt with a swaggering murder ballad that one can’t help but hear as a warning shot across the radio dial to Chris Brown’s “Deuces.”
But cuts such as “Cheers (Drink to That) and “Raining Men,” as foamy and spunky as they may be, are such a dogleg turn from “Rated R” that they come off as little more than image recalibration. That’s her prerogative as an artist, and it’s certainly earned. But it underscores the one thing we’ve always wondered about Rihanna — what is she really feeling?
